A Sweet, Sweet Day

Today was a sweet day. Every day is a gift from God and today was an especially sweet one.

The focus group this morning is precious beyond precious.

Then this afternoon I visited my sister who lives in a nearby city. We went to an amazing nursery near her home to buy flowers for our yards. She is a creative interior and exterior designer. I need her help desperately! We don’t look anything alike, but if anyone was listening in (and the other customers couldn’t help but hear us) they knew we were sisters. Laughing, finishing each other’s sentences, not even finishing sentences but knowing what the other person meant—all part of our sister banter. It was the best time. Both of us have full lives so we don’t get together as often as we would like. Today was a gift for both of us.

After we got back to her home, I had a most likely once-in-a-lifetime experience. I rode with my 15-year-old niece for one of the first times she drove! She did a great job and graciously received my driving advice. She is a delight. Another sweet part of my day.

Thank you, Lord, for a wonderfully sweet day with precious friends and family.
