Relax and Enjoy the Crazy

Relax and Enjoy the Crazy.

This is one of the signs I made for our staycation. I love it because it is the perfect reminder I need in my current season—crazy and wonderful at the same time.

Today was a crazy kind of day. I scheduled two meetings for the same time. In my mind one was scheduled for tomorrow. But, ah, no.

My dear friend I was to meet with (I thought tomorrow) texted me to see if I was okay. Physically okay, but mentally, I felt off the mark. I left one meeting a little early and arrived at the second a little late. I didn’t make it in time to help Kelsey this afternoon. The rest of my day was off as a result.

Oh, well, no one was upset. It is life. It is my life. I do my best to be organized but then without warning I find I’ve made a mistake, forgotten someone, or missed an important detail. I so very much appreciate the graciousness of those I’ve affected. And it’s a wonderful reminder to me to be eager to serve up graciousness when I’m on the end of being forgotten or rescheduled.

Relax and enjoy the crazy. It is my life. I think it always will be. Jesus had some pretty crazy days too. He was in high demand to heal the sick, drive demons from the possessed, feed the hungry, and teach the curious. I certainly won’t do life as smoothly and powerfully as Jesus did, but I know He will give me everything I need for my crazy, wonderful life.
