Staycation Eve

You know what’s coming on the blog today, don’t you? Yep, today is Staycation Eve. It felt like a holiday eve, too. I had a long grocery list to shop for. The house needed to be put in order and I finally put the gift bags together. And of course, what would a vacation or holiday eve be without catching up the laundry? (Last load in the dryer as I write.)

We still have a few last minute outdoor decorations to put up tomorrow morning.

But tonight is my rest time. We ordered carryout pizza. After I finish this blog I am officially turning off my brain. No more planning. No more stressing. I am in vacation mode. It’s kinda like when you get on a plane for a trip. That’s when I exhale. All the planning and work is finished. The trip has begun and I am off duty.

I am really looking forward to being with the kids. We have prepared all the elements for a fun vacation so now I will sit back and let it happen.

Stay tuned for pictures and details. . .

Thanks for your enthusiasm and encouragement along this process. It touches my heart.
