Small Action–Big Change in Your Child–Making Christmas Eve Eve Count

On December 2 I wrote about a few of our Christmas traditions and how they help keep our family connected.

One of those traditions was decorating Christmas cookies a few days before Christmas.

Today is the day.

Kerry and I will cut out and simply decorate sugar cookies and gingerbread cookies. In the background we will play the movie “Elf.” We’ll keep our decorating simple as we both have a list of Christmas to-do’s to do before tomorrow.

But we will be making one more Christmas memory.

I don’t want to be negative in this joyous season, but this past year has constantly reminded me that the nature of life is perpetual change. Who knows where next year will find us?

I want to enjoy every moment I have with my family.

Next year may look totally different, not necessarily in a bad way, just different.

I want to fully live in this moment so I can fully live in next Christmas (whatever it brings) with no regrets.

In the craziness of Christmas Eve Eve what tradition or special moment will you stop time to enjoy with your family? You won’t regret it. It will be a Christmas memory for you and your family for next year and all future Christmases.

I’d love to hear about one way you made a memory by taking a minute to enjoy your family.

Merry Christmas!
