Wow. Today was a little bit of lots of things. First, I finished the last chapter for the last time the focus group meets on Friday. I am sad to see it come to an end. I have loved getting to know these women. I am honored they have given me their time and opened their hearts to me.

A friend called and we had a great conversation sharing some of the deepest parts in our hearts. So good.

I researched more information for my “Nudge.” Step by step I’m following The Nudge God gave me a few days ago. I want to write more about this later–not just my Nudge but yours too.

Then I treated myself with a quick shopping trip. The other day while running errands with The Grand I saw a couple of things I wanted to try on but time did not allow. I went back today to see how they looked on me. They looked pretty good and so did the other two items I bought and forty percent off!

One of the best parts of this impromptu trip was that one of our daughters called while I was driving. We talked all the while I shopped as if she were with me. She looked at the store’s website and gave me ideas of items to look for. I sent her pictures of the items when I tried them on. It was a virtual shopping trip! We both had the best time. I apologized to the clerks for talking to them while on the phone. I explained I was “shopping virtually” with my daughter who lives in Chicago. They were touched and I almost cried. It is Mother’s Day week so extra mom sentimentality is allowed.

Back to reality and home to clean for the weekend. In case you haven’t heard, all the kids are coming!

Somewhere in the driving and cleaning I talked to another daughter. Any day I hear from one or more of the girls is a very good day.

So many heart-to-heart conversations today! Oh, how I love that! Each one fills my soul.

Another crazy, wonderful day that I couldn’t have predicted and for which I am thankful for.
