This is the best pic from the day.
The Grand discovered how to swing like a monkey under the table while he was retrieving the ball. It was hilarious and surprising at the same time! I would love to know what he was thinking as he accidently discovered a new fun way to play!
I was thrilled to be a witness to his discovery. I squealed louder than he did. He was so in the moment he didn’t make a sound.
When was the last time I happened onto a new, cool discovery? I love seeing the occasional grey heron visit our backyard. I can’t help but run onto the deck when I hear an airplane or helicopter flying overhead. I must see it, but I can’t explain why. I love finding a new pumpkin on the vines that sprouted from last year’s pumpkins.
I kinda squeal on the inside when I meet a kindred spirit friend—someone you make an almost instant connection with because you are so similar or share the same passions.
I want to keep The Grand’s childlike view of life. I want to keep my eyes open wide in anticipation of the next new, cool thing God brings into my life. In my ongoing joy experiment, I am challenged to look for joy in every moment of every day.
This is pretty much how The Grand does life. I’ve got a good role model.
