This is the only picture from today. Kelsey and I spent the afternoon shopping and researching for bathroom fixtures, flooring, and tile.

Thanks to all things HGTV and Pinterest Kelsey and Caleb have seen more home reno ideas than they know what to do with. My job with Kelsey today was to help her make a few final choices so the renovation can move forward.

However, Pinterest was quite helpful when we were trying to make decisions in the store today. We said, “Hmm, wonder what (fill in the blank) would look like?” We brought up several pictures on Pinterest and Kelsey made her decision. So fun!

I know how she feels. We built our home when Kelsey was one. Home renovation/construction is a huge project that takes lots of time. It consumes your life and it needs to in order to finish in a timely fashion. But it’s hard to not let it consume your thoughts and emotional energy. The trick is to take it a bite at a time and not stress about everything else that needs to be done. It will get done—next.

Kelsey and I had a great time today. She made lots of good decisions and, more importantly, she and Caleb are happy with them.

And the ice cream in the pic? We needed an energy pick-me-up!
